The False Doctrine of Evolution

by Timothy Muhammad, guest columnist

The Master has need of them.

—Matthew 21:1-3

[Carter G. Woodson, the founder of Black History Month] , once said, “Harvard has ruined more Negroes than bad whiskey.” [Woodson]’s statement was a revealing indictment of the American educational system and its detrimental effect on the professional class of Black America.

The teacher of the Honorable Minister Farrakhan, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in a Theology of Time lecture said that he wanted to talk to the professional class of Black people. In 1972 the Honorable Elijah Muhammad stated:

“When the professional class of our people visit us, we want you to know that we honor you and respect you. We need you….People of the professional type, you are the ones I want to talk with, because the man who has no learning and no profession cannot help me. He can only just believe, but he can’t do the work necessary to be done.”

But he has also said, in Our Saviour Has Arrived (1974):

“Imagine people out here with B.A., B.S., M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees still begging the white man to give them a job and to care for them as their fathers did in slavery times. This actually shows that the more highly educated and trained our people are, the more they want to be like white people…”

The Honorable Louis Farrakhan has taught the need for separation and independence. At the basis of independence is proper and right education. Minister Farrakhan wrote in Study Guide No. 21 about “the need for a new educational paradigm,” for America’s current system of education is “rooted in white supremacy.” He continues, in A Torchlight for America (1993):

“You can’t bring a black child into that kind of educational environment and produce a child who loves and respects itself. You produce a child who bows down to white people and looks at white people as being God.”

At Temple University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I recently attended an evolutionary psychology class, which was taught by a Black professor, who taught that man evolved from creatures of the sea. The statements made in class included the following:

“Man evolved successively from a fish ancestor, an amphibian, a reptile, a small rodent-like mammal, a small primate, an ape-like ancestor, and finally into a man….Modern man has been around 100,000 years and civilization has 10,000 years of history.”

The Black professor took the time to state, “Our ape-like ancestors had black skin.”

The class had a total of 18 students, of which 6 students were of African descent, 4 students of East Indian descent, 1 student of Asian descent and 7 of European descent. I sat in class pondering the psychological effect statements such as these may have on the Black students, the White students, and the others.

To understand the theory of evolution, as fathered by the English naturalist Charles Darwin and laid out in his Origin of Species (1859), one has to follow the concept of natural selection, which presumes that an organism can have a spontaneous mutation in its genetic DNA sequence. The simultaneous changes in a gene’s DNA sequence supposedly produce a morphological change in an organism over several generations. From this process a fish will morph into an amphibian, into a reptile, into a rodent-like mammal, into a small primate, into an ape-like creature, and lastly into a man.

The renowned Black astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is highly admired by the evolutionary psychology professor, stated:

“I want to put on the table, not why 85% of the members of the National Academy of Sciences reject God, I want to know why 15% of the National Academy doesn’t.”

Does the belief in Darwin’s theory of evolution produce an inferiority complex in Black students and a superiority complex in White students, and does it engender in a student the belief that there is no God Who created the heavens and Earth?

How does a young Black 20-year-old student feel about himself if that student believes that his Black ancestors evolved from an ape-like creature?

The damaging psychological effect of this belief on Black professionals who are trained in America’s colleges and universities foments in this particular class of Black individuals a desire to be assimilated into white America, conformed to the ideas and expectations of their ex-slave master and their children rather than connected and united with the suffering masses of their people.

Lies Versus Actual Facts

Why do we as a people collectively take at ‘face value’ or accept ‘hook, line, and sinker’ what our former slave master and his children teach about us and our origins?

Why do we, Black people, believe uncritically the historical record of lies written and taught by Caucasian scribes and scholars? Such as…

The Lie: Ham looked upon the nakedness of his father, the Prophet Noah; therefore, Black people are cursed to be hewers of wood and drawers of water and the eternal servants of white people.

The Actual Facts: The Curse of Ham legend (or Hamitic Myth) was invented out of whole cloth by the ancient Talmudic rabbis, according to white scholars Winthrop D. Jordan, Louis Ginzberg, Harold Brackman, Jonathan Schorsch, and Black scholar John Gibbs St. Clair Drake.

The Lie: White people found cannibalistic black Africans swinging in trees with bones in their noses, having never contributed anything to civilization.

Actual fact: In a recent Final Call article, Dr. Ridgely Abdul Mu’min Muhammad points out that early America’s white auctioneers were selling “valuable negroes” that included carpenters, millwrights, coopers, mill hands, blacksmiths, boat hands and engineers! As How White Folks Got So Rich says, “There is a reason why whites constructed thousands of ships to sail thousands of miles to steal millions of Africans to work as slave laborers”—and it is not because those people were ignorant savages. Western civilization was in fact built on the labor, skills, and talents of Black people. Blacks were the first builders of Civilization. The black-skinned Egyptians had reached a high state of civilization long before the Neanderthal, whose DNA is far more often found in Europeans and Asians than in Africans. In a commentary in the journal Science (2007), Dr. Carles Lalueza-Fox, a molecular biologist at the University of Barcelona, said:

“[Recent studies] make Neanderthals more like modern Europeans, with light skin and hair color and language abilities, and yet there are no signs of interbreeding with modern humans.”

Not only did Blacks raise up and civilize Caucasians from their savage existence in the hillsides and caves of Europe, under the guidance of the Prophet Moses, but also, according to scholars Wayne B. Chandler and Ivan Van Sertima, the African Moors’ presence in early Europe inspired the European Renaissance.

The Lie: Jesus Christ was a white Jew who was made in the image of God the Father, who must be white also.

Actual Fact: In the Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ is described as a man with “hair like lamb’s wool,” with “feet of burnished brass”—a Black man. According to Dr. Wesley Muhammad, “white Jesus” is a “false product” made in America.

Minister Farrakhan in a speech stated, “We [Black people] did not come from apes.” The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1974 wrote in Our Savior Has Arrived:

“Many claim that there is no such one (God) and that the Creation of the Universe came by chance. Man’s creation, they say, took place from some lower form of animal life of the sea. But they were never able to prove such theories.”

Charles Darwin’s theory of biological evolution is exactly that—a supposition, or a set of assumptions and opinions intended to explain something.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad asserted that Black people have believed what others have said about us and have therefore not sought out the actual facts of who we are.

Minister Farrakhan has taught in The Time and What Must Be Done lecture series the following concerning the origin of our former slave master and his children:

“He’s not an original man, he’s a ‘made’ man from The Original. And that is why the Bible teaches in the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 26:

‘Let Us make man in our image and after our likeness: and give them power and dominion over the fowl of the air, the fish of the sea and every creeping thing that crawls upon the Earth.’

“Well, who is the ‘Us’ from which a new man was made? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us, and scientists bear witness, that the ‘Us’ are the ‘pre-Adamites’: The Aboriginal People of the Earth; the Dark People of the Earth—The Black Man and Woman of the Earth from which every species of human being has come.”

As was reported in the New York Times, recent genetic tests by University of Chicago researchers have proven what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught of the birth of the white race: a major genetic alteration occurred exactly 6,600 years ago. And these and other scientists—from the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA at the University of Adelaide, the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and the University of Copenhagen—have all confirmed that the white race is a young race—a “new man” who, as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad has said, “came from us, but he is different from us.”

According to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, “The early man (original man) knew the earth’s revolutions, the circulation of blood, and the existence of microbes.” That we, the original people, had high science has been borne out by Blacks in Science: Ancient and Modern (1983) and Cheikh Anta Diop’s The African Origin of Civilization.

Forbidden Archaeology (1993), authored by Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson, provides supportive evidence that human beings and civilization have been on the earth for billions of years.

The Upright Ape: A New Origin of the Species (2007), authored by Dr. Aaron G. Filler, explained that “apes evolved from humans.” And not the other way around.

National Geographic News in 2002 reported: “For decades, scientists have agreed that human and chimpanzee DNA is 98.5 percent identical. A recent study suggests that number may need to be revised. Using a new, more sophisticated method to measure the similarities between human and chimp DNA, the two species may share only 95 percent genetic material.

“The result is surprising, said David Nelson, a geneticist at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, ‘in that it’s more than twice as much difference as we thought’ existed.”

These facts support what Minister Farrakhan has been saying in the Time and What Must Be Done lecture series: we Black original people have been on the earth for trillions of years, as was taught by his teacher the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

The Motive behind the ‘Theory of Evolution’

Responding to the Bishop of Oxford Samuel Wilberforce’s question about whether he traced his descent from an ape on his mother’s or his father’s side, Sir Francis Galton, a contributing father of the doctrine of eugenics (a racist concept that entails improving the genetic quality of the human population) and a cousin of Darwin, declared:

“If then, said I, the question is put to me would I rather have a miserable ape for a grandfather or a man highly endowed by nature and possessing great means and influence and yet who employs those faculties for the mere purpose of introducing ridicule into a grave scientific discussion—I unhesitatingly affirm my preference for the ape.”

The man highly endowed by nature and possessing great means and influence is none other than the original man. From this statement made by Galton one can surmise that he and his ilk are too proud to publicly admit that they (Caucasian people) ultimately came from Black parents.

Is it merely a coincidence that the German monk Gregor Mendel had conducted his experiment on peas in 1856—three years before Darwin published his work, On The Origin of Species (1859)—which concluded that the darker germ is dominant in relationship to the light germ, which is recessive?

Was the doctrine of the theory of evolution contrived to combat the question, “Who is the original man?” Once it became apparent to some scientists and scholars in the Caucasian intellectual community that they were selectively bred into existence, they went to work to disprove that pertinent actual fact. In fact, Charles Darwin himself had concluded that without some form of selective breeding, skin color differences simply “cannot be accounted for in a satisfactory manner.”

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad pointed out that the Caucasians are masters in deceiving you away from the truth.

If 85% of the scientists of the National Academy of Science believe in the theory of evolution, then in their mind, God is just a theoretical concept, and the original-life form in relationship to that which is a grafted-life form is essentially null and void.

With the theory of evolution the Caucasian scientists have placed doubt in the minds of the Black professional class of our people about the true reality of the Original Man, Who is God.

In conclusion, the theory of evolution is not an empirical science, but a “false knowledge,” made up of racist doctrines whose aim and purpose is to deny and cover up the reality of the original people, who are God. Why should we as Black students and Black professionals believe a people who called “Us” three fifths of a human being. We cannot and should not believe and follow the white supremacist model of education that our former slave masters and their children have foisted upon us. Minister Louis Farrakhan coined the phrase,” He who gives you the diameter of your knowledge prescribes for you the circumference of your activity.” The white supremacist educational paradigm of the Caucasian people has failed us and is now failing them, for anything built on lies has no permanency in a universe that was built on truth.
